At Freedom Prep we believe that we have freedom as Americans to teach children in a way that works best for them. More importantly, we know that true freedom comes from salvation through Jesus Christ. We stand on the truth of God's word in every bit of our ecuational experience and do not compromise based on societal standards of twisted theology.
Life Preparation
In addition to our regular classwork our high school students are learning life skills such as financial literacy, writing a resume, interview skills, cooking, laundry skills, choosing a college and more. We believe that these skills are just as important as academics in order to help prepare students for life after high school.
Interest Exploration
At Freedom Prep we encourage our Launch students (high school) to explore their interests and seek internships and apprenticeships in their potential career fields. We want students to leave school with a solid base of knowledge to support their future careers and feel this experience is vital to that.
Learn by Doing
We know that students learn better when they use multiple senses. We utilize curriculum that integrates sight, sound, and touch in order to help students understand concepts. This brings learning to life for students and helps them master skills they may have missed before.
Service Minded Students
We know that one of the greatest callings of Christ is to serve. Therefore our high school students have required volunteer hours each year. In addition all of our students participate in service projects for those in need in a multitude of ways. We know that teaching them to serve others will help prepare them for whatever God calls them to later.
Safe Environment
At Freedom Prep we specialize in making kids feel loved and safe. Our relaxed atmosphere provides a safe and comfortable place for kids to learn. We are far more concerned with kids loving their learning environment than abiding to a traditional way of doing things.
Our Model
1. Assessment
We begin by assessing your childs strengths and weaknesses in order to correctly place them in a learning level rather than a "grade level"
2. Homeschool Style
Our model is simply a homeschool style learning environment in a classroom setting. We utilize homeschool curriculum and teaching methods to make learning engaging.
3. Student Centered
We have done away with traditional grade levels to ensure that our students learn at the pace that is right for them. Students may stay in a class level for one year, two years or sometimes three or may skip a level depending on what's right for them.
4. Faith Based
Our goal is to create disciples for Christ among our students. We want to develop students into bold young people that know what they believe and are willing to share the good news of Christ's gospel to those around them.
